I had my first professional shave today at a really old-school barber shop down in P.B. The whole experience was really nice – the hot towels, the close shave, the clean feeling post aftershave – definitely something I would again when another beard needs shavin’ off.
I took a nap today that lasted for faaaar too long and now I’m wide-awake at 1am. This may be common hat for some of you but I have to wake up for work in seven hours. Frown. Since Freshman/Sophomore year of college, I’ve managed to put an end to the lion’s share of sleep-deprived nights. I think perhaps I am now better at managing my time since it definitely feels like I have more on my plate these days with school and work. I’ve been thinking about what I’m going to do post-graduation and I have a few options. My original plan was to chillax’ for 6 months to a year before I pursued a “real” job but everybody is advising me to get a full-time job ASAP. The reasoning it sound so that’s probably what I’ll try to do…it’s just – guh – I really would like a little time to relax and collect myself before entering the work-force in full-force. So it goes.
My senior project seems like it’s well underway in becoming a success! The data I’ve collected so far seems pretty darn neat and my faculty mentor seemed really excited today during our meeting. Now I just have to finish entering all the data and start doing fancy stuff with it! : ))
I’ve been crafting a bunch today and it seems like I either get crushed or I win with ease. I think the early hours bring out both extremes en masse. Maybe I’ll make a new name to try out a different race.
Goodnight!
I really need to start bringing my bike with me to school. Waiting in a 100 meter line for the bus is for chumps!
In my jazz music class we learned about three very significant people of the genre: Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, and Thelonious Monk. While watching a video clip of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie playing some wicked jazz, I couldn’t help but notice Dizzy’s uncanny ability to inflate his face & neck like a frog. Check it here (1:25) and here (1:50). Is this common for trumpet players? I’ve seen people play the trumpet before but I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen any person expand their face like that.
Yesterday I did a bunch of gardening – mostly planting seeds and some succulents & cacti. I purchased some neat seeds online (Bismarkia Nobilis & Dracaena Draco) that I’m really excited to grow. Hopefully by early to mid-summer most of them will be sprouted! : )
I watched Ian and TJ play a game of War3 tonight and afterwards I played a 1v1 against Busby. He accidentally chose random and didn’t get to be his strongest race which put him at a serious disadvantage. He stuck it out, though, and it turned out to be a pretty darn good game.
Alright, I need to get to bed. I think I may be afflicted by some lingering jet-lag…either that or I just don’t like sleep any more. Goodnight!

Now that I finally got wordpress up and running the site is officially (pretty much) functional! So here comes the hard part: adding content.
O_O
I have a ton of photos to upload and my Japan trip to talk about so at least I have a lot of fuel for the fire. This school quarter doesn’t leave me with an over-abundance of free time but I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to post reasonably-consistant content this time around. : )
The Sophomore Chronicles served me well over the past 8 years but I think I needed a new site to get my blood pumpin’ again. Also, since somebody else snagged my tSC domain name, I thought it’d be a good time to try something new. The title of this website comes from my favorite CAKE song, “Comfort Eagle”. Commit the url to memory, bookmark it, save the RSS feed or…whatever. I’m sure there are a myriad of other web 2.0 ways of getting to this site so whatever method floats your boat, do it! : D
It’s really late right now and seeing as I have class in the morning, I’m going to have to bounce. Before I do, I’ll give you a parting link (BAM!) and a farewell. Goodnight!
